Thank you Christy for a magical concert last night from the NCH. Looking forward to your next gig and hopefully to being there live so we can sing along.
Hopin to play The Pav when permitted
We really enjoyed the concert tonight. Glad you sang Matty – love that song!
Thanks so much for a wonderful evening! Kathleen and Rick
lets hear “The Bunker Hayden”
Just like that!
Christy … what a wonderful evening we just spent! The performance just ended … it’s 2124 in Vancouver. That was just lovely! You look and sound fantastic! A great evening! Thanks so much!

see you in The Commodore
Grand concert tonight Christy! One would think you had been accustomed to playing empty halls your entire career! So you got Spancil Hill in Tulla, my ancestral home – I haven’t been inside Minogue’s Pub yet, but I’ve sure as heck parked right in front of it my last visit over. Thanks to Valery for the timely Yellow Triangle, a potent reminder that we can’t stay silent to increasing intolerance here in the States. Keep safe.

Absolutely loved streaming concert tonight. Thank you.
Secondly, and probably more important I want to thank you for helping me understand Irish music. During our visits to Ireland most people we have met stated the Irish music we typically listen to in Canada is not what the Irish listen to and I was confused. Are not the musicians born in Ireland?
At your concert in Bundoran last fall( our trip was dictated by your concert schedule) you stated something that turned the light on and I believe I now understand. You stated that after years of listening to Radio Luxembourg and it’s music, you heard Tommy Makem and Clancy brothers. They sang about what you lived. The light went on and for that I thank you.
Keep on doing what you do so well.

Fiona in Fort Lauderdale here….(the late Johnny Fay of Trim, Co. Meath’s daughter who Reel in the Flickering Light if you need a memory jog – not questioning your memory I just know I am only one of a legion of world wide fans!) Anyhoo….we tuned in tonight from South Florida and you were a balm on my soul. My heart is very heavy at the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg yesterday, a tragedy of great proportion and critical timing….it was a worrying enough time to be living through but this makes it….well….you are more than smart enough to know.
Listening to you tonight made me smile, made me cry, made laugh, made me reminisce, made me think of holding my dear Daddy’s hand listening to you playing in Gorey in Feb 2018 my last and fondest memory of him. Thanks to you. Tonight was a lovely and much needed trip down memory lane of better times. Please God I’ll see you again one….in real time….in a cloud of aftershave and perfume…..we can but hope….thanks for tonight. Stay well Christy….
Sad to hear about the passing of Justice Ruth….a truly inspirational, brave and beautiful woman….
Johnny Fay will hold the door for her as she passes through…a Royal welcome !
Brilliant brilliant brilliant
Thank you 👏
keep it country Dylan
Thank you Christy for tonight´s show. Technically and performance vice superb and very pleasing show. Everything worked to such a fine level, detail of sound and picture. You set the standard high for others to follow. Wonderful connection and worth every penny. I think the record of these shows will stand the test of time for a long time. Sitting in with a friend we had one of the better Saturdays we can remember. Watched the brave Colm Seoighe stream before your show and topped with TG4 Cumar documentary afterwards. It was the first time my friend experienced you live and seeing his emotions and reactions was a joy also. High spirits!
I was surrounded by great work mates…it was a team effort..we all pulled together to make it happen….we also needed all you good listeners
Gosh Aren’t you brilliant or what ? Amazing. Xxx
we’re still here Maryline..
Tonight’s concert was amazing Christy. Thank you.
Originally from Nenagh, back home in Tipp, the first time I saw you live was the late 80s at Kennedy’s in Puckane. The energy was mad that night, matched only by those bodhran solos that you did back then. Then there was a hush as you sand Irish Ways and Irish Laws. Magic.
Many concerts and years have passed since. I moved to London and enjoyed seeing you at the fleadhs in London in the 90s, the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham, Leeds etc. down through the years. But tonight was special and maybe the best of all. I loved your energy despite the empty room. There was an intimacy there. A connection with your audience despite the distances. We could sign along out of tune without taking away the enjoyment from others. We could listen to just your great voice. We could enjoy your stories. And join you in recognising those that have contributed to your artistry. It was special. What ever the future brings, I hope there is a place for more of this. Go raibh míle maith agat.

Thank you for the great gig tonight Christy, really enjoyed it and delighted you did it despite the strange situation of the empty NCH and Dublin back under restrictions, but all the more important because of that. Look after yourself.
A Sligo Champion
Morra Christy, well fair bloody played to you . My self and her self thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours ‘live streaming ‘ . The ‘new normal’ will take a bit of time to get used to but we’ve got the first concert under our collective belts. I hope Valerie had the tea ready for you – take care and take a few days off ! Well deserved keemosabee

You were absolutely brilliant tonight Christy! Thank you for providing this wonderful Saturday evening treat for us. Really loved the songs, the stories and your generous acknowledgements of the writers. It was great to see how much you were enjoying it too and to hear your voice in such outstanding shape. Many thanks again for a very special night.
Played in Caithness once….1968
Thank you for a superb gig tonight Christy, your voice so strong and beautiful, the music so full. I’ve been coming to your concerts for 35 years now and that was one of the very best, although they are all so good. Usually when I come to see you the venue, say the Festival Hall in London, seems huge when I walk in. Then when the lights go down and the gig begins your voice and your music capture me and draw me in to a small pool of light containing just me and my friends listening to you and Declan on the stage, for all I know it could be a small folk club. Tonight that magic of yours took me into that same pool so that although it was just my husband and me watching you on the telly in our front room it felt and sounded as though I was lost in the music in the darkness of a large hall, and of course I was, but this time in the quiet companionship of an audience scattered across the whole world. It would be great if the recording could be released on DVD, in the meantime I might just get myself a ticket for the Australian stream, tomorrow morning London time! Thanks again Christy, and looking forward to seeing you in person again soon. All the best from South London, Anne
Thank You Anne…
Thanks so much Christy for coming in to our sitting room tonight. Siena(9), Cameron(7) and Addisons(5) first ever concert, you couldn’t hear us, but we clapped, we sang and we danced. Your words/songs have a special meaning to many people and we are keeping it going here for the next generation. Thankyou for shining a light in the strange times we are living in, hope we can sing along with you again soon: )
The Kelly Gang are in the Shortgrass….be safe, happy, healthy
Brilliant gig, bit of joy in the midst of all the chaos. Thank you Christy xx
