Happy Birthday Christy. Hope you’re able to have some sort of celebration. Just remember “dont eat too much you’ll never get enough when you’re flying into mystery”.
We are listening to you sing on Ceol chogadh na saoirse on TG4 singing about Patsy O’Halloran, circa 1976. It’s said ‘you polished up the words and the song took off!’ Go well Christy
Wishing you a happy birthday and hoping that you have spent it in contentment and peace. Strange times but an opportunity to recharge the batteries and take it easy. Hopefully we will all be on the road again before too long. Stay safe.
A very happy birthday to the legend that is Mr Christy Moore! Thanks for the music, the memories and the emotional connections you bring to everything you do. Keep well so that we can see you on road soon again.

Dear Christy many happy returns of the day. I trust you and yours are all well. Today was a strange day. If there can be any more strange. Today my father in law was laid to rest with his dear wife Kathleen Hanley of Eyeries. He passed away on 17th March a fitting day for a staunch rebel Corkian. But could only return home just now. One of his favourite songs was Wild Colonial Boy. He once asked me to stop singing it on the bus back from his granddaughters wedding in Spain!! He said I was vaccinated by a gramophone needle. A bold man. I watched his funeral by video. That was what was strange. It seems that these challenging times touches us all in some way. But I will remember him and his words ‘stop your feckin moaning’ always. Its been emotional. Keep well and we will all meet again. Xx
Happy 21st Birthday Christy, I hope you have fun with the family, I imagined a list of goodies left at the door, club orange, toblarone, crisps, choc ice cake, Indian curry, samosas, binoculars for the birds , jacks paper is in high demand, boxers and socks, but most of all I hope and wish you health and happiness for your birthday, with the love that surrounds you from all of us , love Fin
Hey there Christy,
Sending you wishes for a very happy birthday- I hope you and your family are healthy and well. I wish there were some plans in place to be coming your way for gigs, but that will have to wait for now. Running on fond memories from the Hawks Well in Sligo this past summer. Meanwhile we’re being entertained by the phoebes building nests in the eaves, turkeys strolling through the back woods, and green things ever so slowly unfolding out of the dirt. I’ve been listening to LILY a lot lately- that album always seems to help keep the feet on the ground. Ballast for these heady days. Stay well, thanks for the music keeping our spirits high, and happy happy birthday. x Kathleen
