I sigh of relief,
A miracle of miracles
The hand of providence has saved us once again,
A mad man has been isolated from the powers that could destroy us.
Trump is out ,biden is in.amen.

let us all take a brief moment, a collective sigh of relief….but we must not drop our guard…the 48% still lurk in shadows
Hi Christy, Thanks for the keep coming back invite. A few months ago Laura Whalen from The Babog Project asked me to write a song in support of the project and I came up with the Babog Song. A good friend of mine Michaela Hausberger sang and arranged it beautifully and organised the musicians. Would like to share it with you and your guestbook. Here is the link. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=377084286768103
With kindest regards.

Hello Christy,
People here seem to be feeling that it’s time to take a breath. To reflect and maybe feel hopeful. The weather is joining in here too. It’s slow and misty here.
I hope things slowing down might let us get back up to speed.
Rory and Dave, it’s good to hear you. I spend time with Wise and Holy Woman every day. It’s seeping into my bones. I’m letting it take its time.
Rebecca
watching BBC Remembrance – a woman described the ongoing grief related to her 17 yo brother,Ronnie – killed in France during WW2.Similar to my mother’s brother ,killed at 20 -1944.
Her words – in a Northern English accent sum things up ‘ – ‘e were a right ‘andsome lad ‘ D
Since they were posted,I’ve re watched and absorbed your lockdown sessions.A song that first hit me decades ago, resonates via your performance- a song for the ages, hopefully more historical, with the winds of change in the US.
Dylan’s words -your version playing in the bunker ‘ I pity the poor immigrant’…
Keep well
Dave

he’s up there now , blowin hard upon his hohner, born to sing
Hi Christy,
Relief, blessed relief with the news from America.
Then , while i was listening to the 2006 live album on came Wise and Holy Woman, and i just feel that there may now be a chance for some pure ,clear water, we can marvel again at how the might oak tree grows from a little seed without wanting to chop it down, how the homeless street children may have a chance to smile, that we can respect the shrine they built to Chico Mendez, we can find less oil soaked cormorants on our shores and we can be at peace watching the otter swimming through the rivers and streams.
That is a beautiful song that you crafted, it fills me with hope today.
Thanks
Rory

feels like a dark cloud has cleared..we still have cause for concern as unknown factors lurk about….but having that evil man disarmed brings a ray of hope….feels like we have a better chance of getting through this Covid time wjth that man and his nest of vipers removed from the seat of such great power….
Hi Christy, My name is Evan and look to be honest your music has honestly helped me in a lot of ways, I’m 18 and I moved away from cork to County Tyrone a year ago away from all my family and honestly I’ve had a hard time over being a catholic in Northern Ireland and it really put me down, but your music had helped me regain my spirit and make the best of life I really do hope to get to see you in a concert sometime after this virus as I’ve never seen you live yet but all in good time, I know you mightn’t ever see this but thanks for reminding me through your word of your songs I should be proud of who i am🙂
Christy's reply
sorry to hear that ….its been many years since I had any trouble in the 6..but I’m not a catholic….did a runner 60 years ago
Hello Christy,
Fax, Flax or Flux?
I can’t understand why anyone would want to be president of the US. It sounds like the worst job in the world to me.
Rebecca

I did’nt get my Fax straight there…I was having an L of a day
My best friend is getting married at the end of this month. We’ve been singing your songs round camp fires, in kitchens before (and long after) night outs, in the back of taxis – to anyone that will listen for so many years and so many more years to come please God.
The Voyage is herself and her gentleman’s favourite song and I’d love to frame the lyrics for her in a gift. I was wondering is there any chance of getting well wishes written by yourself to include in the frame? They’ve had a very anxious few months in the lead up, like many couples, so we’re trying to make as many special touches as we can for their big day.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks,
Lyndsey
Christy's reply
I’m in the back of a taxi here myself at the moment…kinda pre-occupied
Belfast Soup Kitchen has a facebook page on which one can contribute. I’m Imagining crowd funding over there isn’t like here, but I feel times demand it, so made a modest donation. Via email Damien McNeirney threw out idea of a Christy clip to boost morale and support.
Feeling proud of citizens who turned out for Biden in the swing states, especially the midwesterners. Your Ronnie Reagan song is playing upstairs. I sang for republicans many years ago and they loved it.
Christy, as if that racist, misogynistic narcissist hadn’t done enougth damage now I’ll never be able to dance to Y.M.C.A, again, he has a lot to answer for.
A funny day… I met up with my buddy/music partner in crime for a walk in a local park.Squinting in bright sunlight, clutching coffees, we were discussing cancelled gigs etc- then it seemed like a great idea to sing… ‘America’ by Paul Simon – particularly apt today – and socially distanced, in the great outdoors. Not exactly Woodstock, but better than nothing…
And we’ve to blame this Father O’Donovan for getting you into this singing mullarkey(!) Is he still alive!?
Memories eh….
Christy's reply
Indeed and he did’nt Ed….Fr Raymond O’Donovan O.P. once had the hopeless task of teaching me French. In 1958 he said in class “is that clear Mr Moore?, clear as mud I expect, but then again, you are as thick as mud”….I remember that but ne’er the bit of French…my loss…. He was alright was Ghosty ( his nick-name) ..certainly not the worst of them… he died quite recently…..he used to help back stage at the school musicals…
it was Nancy Power (1919-1992) who led me lovingly into this singing “mullarkey”
I love the tale about your poster’s friend. It got dramatic, I thought we were going to get a story about a difibulator and a heart attack. All it was the pal had knocked back the (way overpriced) glass of whiskey. If you can get the Leagues O’T interview posted it, it would make a good read. Dagrab plus one other pulling out the memories. That you one night sang and you heard the silence and got the vibe as you sang “Everybody Knew”.
A whole generation out now who know nothing about that era. You’ve to tell them about it.
Changed times.
And Nobby Stiles – rest in peace, but we have our own great John Giles reaching 80.
Christy's reply
Good man Ed….
I like your suggestion…
ties in with an idea I have…
Nobby & Johnny….
I heard Johnny talk about Nobby the other day on Dunphy’s Podcast…
Haven’t posted in a while but enjoy reading the chat. Re-reading Jimmy MacCarthy’s book Ride On – In song and Story. Hard to believe you recorded his iconic song of loss in 1984. You mention that you were grateful to him for offering you the first ride. He says that he wrote Guiding Light, after hearing you sing in the Meeting Place, Dorset Street in 1978, where there was revolution in the air. Go well. Go well!
Christy's reply
Never heard that song…but I remember Jimmy coming to The Meeting Place in 1978….with a great Band called Southpaw….first time I ever heard Declan Sinnott
I tripped myself up mentioning St. Patrick’s Soup Kitchen in Belfast. I called it Belfast Soup Kitchen. I’ll shut up now.
Fair Play to you

Hi Christy
Tonight, I’m playing Woody Guthrie’s music with a hint of optimism…
‘from California to the New York island’ – quite emotional and I’m not even American!
Tomorrow’s song will be Buffy Sainte- Marie’s ‘Universal Soldier’.
Dave

Any ideas?
Hope you and Companaroes are all well.
This Convid is serious, still can’t believe some people aren’t listening. Bryan.
