Hi Christy – I was just blown away with the documentary on High Hopes Choir – loved every second and having felt emotional all day I just wept through it – so proud of them all and fair play to David Brophy getting them all together and creating a “family” – I have just written on their facebook page . It was so lovely to watch their faces as you entered the room and your sharing with them was beautiful – snap – I am also 24 years sober TG and I drank for 35 – Christy thank you all so much for the great gigs and Lisdoon was very special for me this year – Hope you all have a really lovely Christmas – look forward to seeing you all real soon – God Bless Ger x

Hello, walked into a charity shop in Stourbridge today about 20 miles outside Birmingham, West Midlands and there was a mint condition vinyl planxty album, Shanachie records 1979 looks like it’s never been played, how very sad.

Location: there was a lot of lightening last night never saw such a carry on
CM (70) NOT 71 LAR ….The tree is up the location it was acquired from is top secret ,got holly out side the barracks window,put up the decorations and lights, getting into the christmas spirit watching you and the high hopes choir,
no sign of the magpies they’ve had enough of storm A B C D and now E .
A blast of cows came in and made so many holes in the lawn I can’t play hurling or even walk there.They smashed the pillar the gates are shattered and now the lawn is banjaxed.
Did you know the animals all talk oíche nollag but you must never ever listen to them.One christmas the master of the animals hid in the cró to hear them talk.He heard the donkey saying to the horse that they should have an early night because they had to carry the master’s coffin in the morning .!

But the most of all is my mom is home and getting better every day. This means there are finaly socks in my sock drawer and I have gluten free christmas cake,nothing better than that.

The staff at all those venues we play around Ireland and The UK ( 60 of them this year alone)…..the get in crews, security,ushers and all who keep these ships afloat
I love being part of all this activity…it is a wonderful workplace
Last but by no means least…all you listeners who turn up to hear the songs, whose enthusiasm and encouragement create the very air we need to rise, and whose entrance fees fuel the whole shebang…..”Thank you for the trouble you take to come and hear us play”
