Hello Christy and All,
I’m sad she’s died.
I think that Queens are a really bad idea.
A president would understand that sitting in front of a gold plated piano while talking about poverty is offensive on every level, much better that a queen can.
But she’s a person and she died. That makes me sad.
We’re probably going to hear about nothing else round here for weeks. Liz Truss will have plenty of opportunity to bury her disasters under this.
I imagine that Edward may be sweating now….
its rumoured that the axe is being sharpened in the tower…
Will Chuck remain on as Commander of The Parachute Regiment ?
May there be peace in that Green & Pleasant Land…
So many good friends and listeners in thon sceptered Isle
Ed we conquered the ice cream stall on Laytown strand for probably the tenth year and cleaned the bookies’ satchels, bought up all the toblerone and fruit from the dublin sisters’ pram on the way out and even got a photo with young Tom Hamilton a Hawick jockey (and friend of son Charlie) who was beaten by a short head in the last, after we tasted a few creamy pints.
In short YES Laytown was on and when the tannoy announcement came over from Balmoral we were just a mile or so from Bettystown but we kept on course with the revelling.

Great night tonight in the Great Northern. 👍 Thanks Christy
Only when the future’s bright Christy 😅 my favourite thing about the southern US climate, hats & shades, indoors as well as out 🌵☘️
Go For It Man
Oh we wish C.
It doesn’t seem 58 years ago. I met up with Gerry in July in Dun Laoghaire He does well for his age. I should be seeing him again early next month.
Gerry is still charming the birds out of the trees
Have a good one tonight in the Great Northern.
I have tickets for the 22nd so really looking forward to it

Rory, your feet wont hit the ground on that Irish break. Are Laytown Races on? Holy gawd, was at it once. Try and back the winner in Saturday’s Champion Stakes.
I could only get a Kilmarnock game from nine years ago where the Parkhead choir still remembered the words of ‘Brigada’. But Rebecca has now inserted a clip from the Real Madrid game and the choir in full verse.
Athlone Town to go all the way next season
“When I look to the west, all along the Belgian coastline

Do you know there is a lovely sandsculpture on the beach we think of you were a model. Titled Family Tree. 😉

On the boat to Belfast with cammy heading to Laytown this afternoon, Howth tonight, Fallons of Kilcullen tomorrow after butchering the Athgarvan par 3 course, down to Jayo and Antoinette for a meal in Bailey’s of Cashel friday night, up to champions day at Leopardstown on Saturday followed by the derby quarter final at Shelbourne at night, before heading to the ferry early Sunday to Stranraer….if you could make great breaks thats it but just missing a CM gig!
Cammy is over the moon at your reply to his post about Viva La Quinta Brigade. It was electrifying to see the supporters singing your great song.
Hail Hail Christy
no moments of quiet reflection for you two rapscallions….I hope ye clean the bookies out…feckin robbin bastards…betfair me bollicks….Ruby ‘n Power….no comment m’lud…..
years ago I’d no problem with the small local turf accountant…manys the beaten docket I shredded in Dicky White’s bettin shop back in the day
but these modern outfits and their psycho ads..dont get me started..
the only reason they pay huge fees to “retired”sporting stars…it works, it seduces, entraps,
“there’s bookies layin odds on two flies walkin up the wall”
Good luck with the gig tonight.
Hopefully be up there next June for the Rory Gallagher festival.
Nigel Rolfe and yourself paid him a fitting tribute.
Love that first verse
And Rory’s gone
To play the blues in heaven
Above the clouds
With all the angels singing there
His records scratched
Like his beaten up old fender
But the songs are strong
And the notes hang in the air
Hard to believe that it’s 1995 since he’s gone.
Any memories of him ?
a quiet humble gentle man
until the lights went down and he cranked up his beloved Strat
then he’d set the night on Fire
The Hills are alive and waiting in anticipation of the Tour rolling up to the Great Northern….
Conor has got the evening off work for the gig…
It’s been a while since he’s been able to make it to one…. seems like a long time since he got a photo taken with you in Letterkenny in one way and its like it was only a few weeks ago in another….

I discovered yesterday that spaghetti with butter, marmite and parmesan cheese is ridiculously good.
Will the collaboration with Imelda,l Marcos have a shoe on the front of it?
expect a call from the MICHELIN person
Here’s the video of Celtic fans singing Viva la Quinta Brigada
I watched Come All You Dreamers a week or two ago. What a gig!
It would be amazing ro hear you in Barrowland once more.
And I know all your friends in the North would love to see and hear you.
Enjoying singing out again Christy. Things are goin’ well. Feelin’ good. Thanks for all the inspiration 💚
sounding good too Dylan……do you always wear the shades ?
Good evening Christy,
Not sure if you’d hear the North Curve Celtic (Green Brigade) giving Viva La Quinta a good airing last night in the Champions League against the Spanish fascists. They were brilliant giving it Laldy so they were
I sure did Cammy…what a great buzz to hear the Paradise Choir sing my wee song….
I think we better get back to Barrowland while there’s still a wee drop of juice in the tank

Good to hear your Voice requests on the ” Caravan Show” tonight. Lovely choices and as you would say yourself “a noble call”.
Did I correctly hear Oisín say you are in collaboration with Imelda and others on a piece of work?
Safe journey to the “Hills” tomorrow………first stop Mother Hubbards.
Universal have just re-released an album of Patrick Kavanagh’s Poetry…..Originally on the Claddagh Label they’ve done a tasteful job …its on vinyl & CD…..Imelda May and myself are among the gathering invited to contribute…..thats what Oisín Leech was referencing…..
I loved the original Mother Hubbard’s , long before it became a chain….I always pulled into to Barry’s wagon in thon field upon the road West… a mug of strong tea , a freshly assembled rasher sangwedge and the bit of banter with Barry…always remembered, sadly missed
I’m also working on an album with Imelda Marcos….
We get paddy power ads here, along with Ladbroke etc… and I think they’re pretty awful.
I’ve never had the courage to ask, so it’s interesting to read your comment, Bourkey.
Now Ruby’s taking the soup
Getting it from Paddy Power
Hard when one of our own
Jumps over to that shower
As I walked out one fine May morning
To see spring flowers with a heart full of song
Who did I find but a pretty young maiden
She crept up behind me and hit me with a rock
