I have been a loyal fan of yours for many years. I had the pleasure of attending your concert in the Armada at the end of April. It was my fourth concert and definitely the best. The atmosphere was beautiful! Thanks Christy.
Christy's reply
Thanks Kathleen….I’m further on down the road here in Cambridge, England tonight but your post reminds me of the night we had in Spainish Point. Cathal Haydens “Pomeroy” and Mairtín O’Connor’s “Inagh Valley” are still resounding for me…..Thanks for your long-term listening
Hello Christy, thanks for a great concert last night at the Anvil. The whole family enjoyed it and were pleased to hear their Dad mentioned and you singing The Curragh. Declan was as good as ever and we also enjoyed the vocalist and the drummer. One of my grandsons Kieran, kept saying after each song ‘that’s a good one I’ll sing that’. How do you keep your voice so clear? Thanks again. Breda Buckley
Christy's reply
as the voice said last night in Basingstoke “He’s here with us tonight”…I felt that too..best wishes to you and your family Breda
What a fantastic night in Basingstoke. I have been blessed to have seen you six times now, but obviously seeing you near home is a special treat. Sure, you are welcome back any time.
It was a great list of songs, and although I have always had a soft spot for Lawless, I would not change the setlist for the world.
Enjoy the rest of the shows, and we will see you down the road.
God bless
Paul & Stella Gibbons

Hey Christy
Not sure if you remember me but you wrote a beautiful personal message to my father on the back of a photo when I came to see you two years ago in bath. Tonight myself and my pops are coming to see you in Basingstoke, so this one is to my pops, my bright blue rose.
Dear Christy,
Thanks a lot for a great concert in Bristol and thanks for singing Ride On which I requested in the birthday card I sent you. I bet you were swamped with cards and requests. Anyway, I am really looking forward to seeing you again soon at Glastonbury. I wrote a bit of a review of Bristol on my blog page. It’s not the greatest review because I didn’t know the names of a couple of the songs. It is here- http://patrickmaginty.blogspot.co.uk/. Cheers, Pat.
Christy's reply
Dear Pat…just read thru your reviews…thanks for sticking with the songs for over 30 years…I loved that venue in Bath, lovely room….the early Glastos were great too, singing in the rain, flashes of Lennie Kravitz, James Brown and all the other acts I heard there over the years….lots of people knock Glasto for various reasons, some valid ,but my experiences there have been good…I’ve never been there as an audient, only as an act…Michael Eavis has always made me feel welcome at his farm and paid me well for the priviledge……PS…Dalesman’s Litany is a Trad song based on an older Yorkshire Dialect Poem.I first heard it sung in The Bradshaw Tavern,nr Halifax by the late Alasdair Cameron. Later I got the words from Denis Sabey who ran the Folk Club at Bradshaw
Hey Christy and Declan

Christy,
So glad I am able to listen to your music online. I know it’s tough to come across the pond to the USA for a show, but hopefully I will be able to get to a show summer 2018 when I am in Ireland next. Some of my favorite songs/covers are Ordinary Man, Beeswing, North and South, and Motherland.
Hope to get to a show. Thanks for the music.
Steve
Christy's reply
OK Steve, its a deal, you come to Ireland in 2018 and I’ll keep practicing.. we get quite a few listeners from USA…just getting into a bit of meditation here…its much better then hanging around doing nothing (thanks Mairtín)
Hi Christy,
looking forward to seeing you at the Anvil tomorrow. Saw you last year at the south bank London and loved every minute. Bringing a friend with me that has never seen you perform live, he describes you as ‘one of his musical heroes’ and I don’t think he’ll be disappointed tomorrow. Have a great night and we’ll raise a glass or two for you and Declan. Slainte!
Christy, we are looking forward to seeing you both in Cardiff. A few years ago in Birmingham you kindly played Lisdoonvarna early in the gig for our small son Joe. He was keen to see you again, but should have no problem staying awake now! I would love to hear January Man if you fancy playing it, such a great song. Have a great night.

Enjoy the rest of the tour
Hope to see the concert tomorrow night
Good to see you back over here, we will be at the St.Davids Hall concert on Saturday night with my brother and his wife (they are “Show of Hands” fans and it’s a first time for them at a Christy/Declan gig). There’s a moment in your gigs that always sends a chill down my spine, and that’s when you pick up the Bodhran, the lights dim, and usually what follows is of a dark nature. Would love to see you pick up the old drum on Saturday night and give it a run out.
Shane & Christine – Nottingham
Christy's reply
Shane…if that old drum is behaving itself I’ll give it a good seeing to in Davey’s Hall…gotta look after all “Show of Hands” fans…..
Lovely concert in Bristol on Sunday night.Thank you for playing Cliffs of Dooneen.
