An update on Mojo world…the October mag is a fab read.
A good piece about Woody’s home recordings and lots about Robert Plant…I was never a massive Led Zeppelin fan,but always admired Plan’t’s vocals. In the last few decades,he’s embraced folk,Americana, country, world music etc…the CD on the mag cover is an hour plus of great Plant music post mid 1990s…well worth a listen…another play due after I’ve listened to ‘The Battle of Everyone’s with Sandy Denny…
Enjoy a post gig buzz day.

Hi Christy,
Well the roof didn’t lift off the old Hanger last night.
But there was feckin movement and that’s for sure.
That was a mighty version of Lemons 7.
But there were mighty versions of many favourites.
That was the best I heard The two fishermen
The choir were in fine voice – never finer.
And we’ll all be back next Friday night …

Hello Christy,
looking forward very much to the gig tonight! We’re from Gernany, we had a couple of wonderful days in Donegal and now we’re heading for Salthill.
It’s a good day today. I was worried that our old silver birch tree would have to come down, there was rot found in one of its main limbs. The tree surgeon went up today and only had to take off part of it. The trunk is fine and sound. We wassailed the tree after he’d gone.
Morning Christy,
All roads lead West to the “Hangar “ today… European passport in the back pocket and we’re off 😀. No Mother Hubbards along the way but fair play to Pat Mc there are plenty of Plazas to refuel.
Safe travels, it will be mighty, a live Gig is badly needed.
Ride on.

Good Evening Christy,
The highest mountain in your beloved Kildare is Cupidstown Hill, I believe it’s almost twice as high as The Hill of Allen. We went up a small country road off the main road to Blessington, where we retired to afterwards for a bit of product sampling.
All the best, good luck, Sam.
Christy's reply
you’re on the ball there Sam……I used to think that the Hill of Allen was our Everest until corrected some years back by a man from Cupidstown…..we cycled from Moorefield to Croke Park and home again in 1961 and never encountered a single slope….and we have a lovely flat accent to go with it… Lilies Abú ……..Shortgrass….Flourbags
How ya Christy come west along the road looking forward to seeing you in Leisureland on Friday night bring the hurl with you might have time for a puck around in Pearse Stadium. I m bringing my daughter Ailbhe with me and she loves Beeswing if it fits on the night Face the puck out

Hi C I note that today Ricky Lynch celebrates his birthday. I know this powerful and poignant song is very difficult to sing at a gig yet with all that is happening with far right policies & governments it’s so important to listen to it, it is so well constructed and disarmingly melodious https://youtu.be/xMa9QEeAqL4?si=z7dfcO2O38-_exIQ I know a lot of us are looking forward to Leisureland, there is a big gang coming from Newfoundland, at least 2 coming from Germany, maybe a long haul Yank and perhaps a big family grouping from Loughrea ? Safe travelling all. Beir bua agus beannacht. H P. S. welcome baby Leo !! Kevin

I’ve not heard this song of Ricky’s for a few years…it was difficult to record but I’m really glad its there….I did try to gig it 2 or 3 times but It slayed the gig..killed the room and left me in a dark place..but I’m glad its here…listening to it now makes me want to sing it again… I’d like to sing it for Netanyahu..scream it into his fascist ears…
Ricky Lynch….Happy Birthday good companero….I hope you have a great year
Hi Christy.. lovely to hear of the hook up with Zoe & John.. some sweet sounds out of Carlingford.. hopefully ye share the stage again. Our worlds changed yesterday with the arrival of baby Leo. He’s signed up for the mailing list and looking forward to his first gig!!

Hi Christy
It was a pleasure to meet you at Ballymascanlon last week, albeit very briefly on both occasions and as such I didn’t get the opportunity to thank you for the pleasure you have given us with your music over the years and continue to do so. My wee hillwalking group I spoke off, known as the “Dirty Dozen” as we started out in ‘84 numbering 12, have climbed all 32 county tops, and you have been with us all the way with your music. So thanks again and best wishes to you and your lovely wife Valerie
