Hello Christy,
Hope you’re enjoying the last days of the year and you are well. This afternoon in the car we listened to a wonderful programme on RTE 1 partly with your brother Luka, he was also joined by your sister Ann, and we were thinking of you and that it won’t be long to Vicar Street now …
Wishing you, your family and all the crew a very Happy, Joyful and Peaceful New Year!
Greetings from the sunlit Beara Peninsula, Traudel
Christy,
Last Spring I visited Havana and was fortunate enough to see the Granma up close on May Day. Ewan’s song and your voice were there with me!
Hasta siempre!
You were kind enough to invite me back stage to meet Declan and some of your family at The Black Box in ’06. We talked about Philadelphia, Germantown, Mount Airy, and the like. I have not been back to see you, but am planning a trip in the Spring. Just working out the plan. You have been playing overhead everyday since I first heard you at the Guinness Fleadh Fest in Randall’s Island, NYC, ’97. Life-changing.
Thank you for everything. Can’t wait to see you soon.
Hi Christy
Trying to make arrangements to get to your show in Cavan in May. We will be travelling with our baby boy and the Slieve hotel do not seem to want to take our booking for accommodation and tickets for your show until we check with the promoter if bringing our son is ok. We cant seem to find anything about the promoter and would really appreciate if you could help us out with their details. We are very excited and hopeful that we will make it from Belconnen to Ballyconnell via Nantes and get to see you playing live.
Many Thanks
Michael and Rebecca

Mr. Christy Moore,
I just recieved the best Christmas present here in Australia a copy of a dvd of your journey with RTE with a note from you the man himself, which I had searched for but could never get hold of here. Brought a tear to my eye, to get a gift with my name on it signed from you, a nice reminder of home. So lovely to see your journey and the story behind some of my favourite songs (yellow furze woman) took great pleasure in showing friends here in Oz what great talent we have in Ireland and the kindness and good people we have along with the beautiful places. A small gift that made a huge difference across the world. Thank you and a happy Christmas to you and yours.

Dear Marty,Ger, Conor….. and all good listeners, posters, visitors, locals, long haulers, first timers and 4711ers…Thank you for all your support and Good Vibrations across 2016 and beyond..I find it whelming that so many come out of a night, from near and far, to join us in song, brother and sisterhood, patiently waiting for the doors to open and the lights to go down…bringing your varied loves, talents and expectations, all that goes to create the magic air that allows us to do what we do,…your listening, singing, harmonisng , swaying and grooving create the front-drop into which we deliver as best we can…
Thank You Thank You All …..Busy here plucking the goose, peeling the sprouts, icing the cake, trimming the lamps, setting the traps, wrapping the songs, avoiding the pitfalls, sherrying the trifle, buttering the Pope’s Nose, cloving the ham, marking the RTE guide,
The winter sun is low, morning and evening running into each other
Christy – very much looking forward to seeing you in Hamilton of all places in the new year, saves a couple of quid on the bus fare to Glasgow anyway.
Given the proximity (couple of miles) would it be awful of me to suggest playing The Blantyre Explosion on this night? I’m a Blantyre man myself and there will be a fair few other Blantyronians in the audience that night.
Cheers, and all the best for 2017,
Brian.
