Christy i was in kilkenny last night, they were ramping it up for that day today when the veil between the 2 worlds is at its thinnest. Great music too.
Back home tonight the “guysers’….poor old guido….are out in force ,clearing out my sweetie jars.
Appropriate would be ‘the flickering light’, though i’d make do with delirium tremens.

Going back to Tony Capstick Christy, I was just reading his Obituary from “The Guardian”, bit more reliable than Wiki, but not too incorrect on this all the same as Dave said. It was written by Derek Schofield. It goes on to say that after he returned to Wolverhampton from College in Coventry in 1966 to a full time job, he only played in folk clubs in and around Wolvehampton until 1973 due to the constraints of the day job. He then jacked in the day job in ’73 and went on the road full time. Doesn’t mention any particular clubs though.
So did a quick search and not much info out there, however came across this particular Facebook thread and it mentions a few clubs in and around Wolverhampton in late 60s you may be familiar with. Im not on the Facebook meself and I can read all the comments and some great pics as well, no mention of Bill though but lots of other well known names and not so well known that you may remember. There’s also great love shown in it for Noel Murphy and a great picture of him in full flow.
Hello Christy.Just a line or two wishing you the very best of luck with your gigs at Vicar st. Looking forward to tommorow night. No better way to start the month of November. Sweet Music Roll On Christy.
Well are bags are packed and ready to set off for Dublin in the morning from Glasgow. Too long since my our last gig. Christy, if the jukebox is working on Saturday evening it would be lovely to hear “barrowland” as we don’t get to hear it over here now. Looking forward to the concert.

Come all you Dreamers
lets waltz beneath the Carousel o’Healing
So…. the Royal formerly known as Prince has to move house…. he’ll be fair sweatin’ by the time he has the furniture moved !!!
Enjoy the Vicar St run…. always interesting to see which lesser heard songs make an appearance. We will get there at the heel of the hunt.
Well done Kevin and the lads. Hard work but great to get the recognition.
Dear Christy,
We are very happy we are again heading to Dublin to attend your first Vicar Street gig this season. Last winter we were for the first time at a HQ gig. Lars and I enjoyed the atmosphere tremendously, so here we are again, so grateful you keep up the good work. Unfortunately Els and Eva can’t make it this time, but we also have tickets for March.
Looking forward to Saturday evening.
Piet, Lars and Paulien.

A bar or two of the Big Marquee would make my night Christy.
