Hello Christy,
Thankyou for the gig last night.
Your voice is sounding in superb shape.
Thankyou so much for the shout out and, dalesman’s litany. Im very sorry that I still haven’t plucked up courage to try and say hello.
The set is really working, talkies, songs and acapella, including some beautiful planxty songs.
The acapella stuff sounded stunning and I think your soundman is right about the guitars, however they feel. They sound bright and clean with a rich bass end. Lovely.
The performance level is so high, it made me realise how much I need to work on. Lots of time I guess. If I’m ever good enough to collaborate on anything with you I’d be the proudest person alive.
I probably have lots of other things to say but my head is still reeling.
Rebecca

I don’t think my head ever stops reeling…..thank you both for making the journey..safe return to Yorkshire
Thanks for a super Gig last night… you were flying. Compliments to the stage designer, it was really well set off.
Great to meet up again with fellow listeners. We are getting back to normal?.
Best regards.
Christy's reply
I’m thinking here Patsy that perhaps twas normal that got us into the mess we have endured and will continue to endure until we change our ways…so many seem to have learned nothing from the experience.. seem ready to roll again as before…we have to change out ways..all of us…and its not easy..its not gonna be easy…but as Jim page’s song tells us…”the clock is winding down”
that said Patsy, it was a privilige to play in Ennis last night…it took a lot of effort from many agencies to run that gig last night within regulations…..thanks to all who contributed
Another magic night…
The break hasn’t done you any harm at all…. what a finale to round of the evening.
Christy for Croke Park…..
Garth Brooks , Ed Sheerin, U2…. I wouldn’t cross the road…..
Christy's reply
Its 35 years since I played support to U2 in Croke Park

Best wishes to all the crew.

Hello Christy,
Damn, I’m sitting here trying not be the next person to post, and it’s not working. Has no-one else seen the new video yet? I love the boat floating on a picture of the sky, the moon phases, the cormorant.
Loads of good news too!
Rebecca
We are here, somewhere near Ennis, heading for kilrush driving on the beautiful roads of a land where they spend road tax on roads, not whatever shite it goes on in the UK, probably unnecessary weapons and mps expenses.
Everything is green and lovely. Will take some pictures in a bit.
Rebecca
Hope all is well. Enjoy the gig in Ennis. Had the tickets for last year in June. We couldn’t make it for this weekend. Think that two people on the waiting list are happy to be there instead! Here in the lowlands the live gigs are returning slowly as well. What a joy that is. Last weekend two nights in a row in Theatre Winsinghof in Roden (north east part of The Netherlands)
Great nights with an lovely audience. Next april Danny. ed and myself will be over in Dublin to prepare for our next theatre program. Looking forward to that.
Of course it is great to be back on stage. But it is worrying that the current signs of the pandemic for these coming months are not good. Hopefully more people will find ways to get vaccinated and the health workers find some extra energy to go another mile. Incredible people!
In the meantime; let the music keep the spirits high.
Dear Christy,
I visited an old boy today, he showed me his 2 guitars hanging and adorning his wall, having just given away his red signed Brian May replica to be used by a 14yo budding musician. Lovely man whose modest home is a shrine to his musical heroes.
As i bid him farewll i quoted him those 2 predictable lines from Before the Deluge as his health falters, and he replied…The Blues had a child and they called it Rock n Roll.
Music is the eternal language indeed.

Hello Christy,
Hope all is well with you and yours. We haven’t heard from you for a while on here.
I’ve been working my way through your wishlist. Paul Robson singing old man river blew me away. His voice doesn’t sound possible. I’ll try to post a link.
Rebecca
I keep looking at your site hoping for a gig sometime soon. Rick and I are ready (reluctantly) to travel again and would do it in a minute to come to see you again in concert (last time was Jan 2020 for our 40th anniversary – you gave us a shoot out – a memory we treasure!). Hope you are safe and well.
Trawling round RTE player and hit on ‘The Meaning of Life with Gay Byrne ‘ – Paddy Moloney’s interview from 2012. Warm, engaging and totally fascinating… Paddy modestly describes his ‘gift’ and Gay does what he did so well..nudging, rather than probing. Fabulous tv and highly recommended. For similar reasons, I also remember your chat in the same series.
