Still singing and roaming around Liverpool, and having a ball. Did 4 back to back gigs last night, for a solid 8 hours of singing straight. Happy to be taking rest today, to say the least.
Got ourselves tickets to see ya again in Bundoran in October, cannot wait for it.
All the best,

Hi, Christy
the great day s coming nearer. I will come over on friday for Drogheda. So very much looking forward to it.
you kindly offered me a request and so I come back to you now…
I love you playing the bodhran…. could you perhaps do burning times with it …
I also love Aisling or perhaps Last Cold Kiss… or the voyage… what ever might suit you ….you see I still love the old gems… I love the elementary of those songs …But don t mind … to be honest I love every single song you play…..they really do settle me and give me strength… I m very grateful for this….
So see you on friday… I m so happy to be able to come.
Let s keep the spirits high
Ursula

Noble calls Ursula….you have me thinking…..Burning Times no longer suits the drum but I have been singing it occasionally….Aisling appears occasionally when the night air is right…the Two Swans have been hiding in the rushes these past years….The Voyage sails nightly…being one of those few special songs that the audience like to sing gently….we wish you a safe trip and a happy visit to Drogheda…its a very good gig room situated on the edge of town in an Industrial Estate…really good acoustics and always a receptive audience….
Hello again Christy .I brought a good friend of mine Mark and his wife Connie to the Marquee last night. They really enjoyed it.Connie is a Clare woman and she loves her music. My good friend Tony and Fiona also enjoyed last night
Lo g may the Marquee and yourself continue.
Dear Christy,
Thank you for an amazing concert last night in the Marquee.
My partner Steve surprised me at Xmas and bought me tickets and 2 nights in Cork.
It was the first time being at your live gig, for both of us. We had the best night and the atmosphere was unreal!!
We are now on the way back to Galway listening to a Terrible beauty on the cd player and we are absolutely hooked and dying to go to another one of your concerts.
We live 7 minutes from Leisureland in Galway and we hope that somebody might have 2 tickets they aren’t using fir your gig in September. We would be so grateful🙏🙏
Keep fighting the good fight!!
All the best,
Maura & Steve
Hello Christy,
Well that was such a night I’ll remember for ever. Thankyou!
What a gig, that voice of yours is some instrument. Such a beauty. I love listening to you as you andcthe guitar do exactly what’s needed to support the voice and help you create the songs. And a brilliant team behind you.
The acoustics in the marquee help the crowd sound clear and sweet. They were in great voice and ready to sing. The place is so full of air.
The set list was lovely. As David said, Allende is back. One of my favourites to listen to as its delivered by a master, and to give to people myself. It’s a gentle starter that hides its big teeth till it’s drawn you right in. For me it’s one of the very best.
I didn’t take any videos because I wanted to take time to absorb all the glorious tight and expansive rhythms that voice of yours gives us. Such a place of learning for me.
After the gig we were walking down the long leafy lane from the marquee back into the city when a man driving a rickshaw turned up with a blaring onboard soundtrack and an electric bike on tge front so we climbed aboard. He didn’t know where he was going, took us past plenty of bars where the novelty and noise got him lots of attention. After about 20 minutes we had no idea where we were, crossed the Lee too many times. Eventually we all agreed that he couldn’t get us home so he took us to taxi rank.
Then a good takeaway curry to round it all off.
What an adventure! Thankyou!

My eldest granddaughter was 16 yesterday,so time passing, was much in mind…and, happily so,when Neil Young kicked off his Glastonbury gig with ‘Sugar Mountain’…such a fab song and very evocative…it brought back another fun fact…July,1985,my music partner in crime and I sat up very late, square eyed, peering at the Live Aid telly…a highlight – Neil Young,’Sugar Mountain’…long may Granddad’s rock,Christy!
Hello Christy. Thanks for a wonderful night tonight at the Marquee. It was my 19th time at your home by the Lee.To me it was o e of your greatest nights at the tent
The place was buzzing from the minute you walked on stage. It was great to hear some rare ones like Allende and johny jump up.Long may you keep entertaining us on a summers night in July. Go raibh maith agat a Cristoir.Sweet music roll on a chara.
Unfortunately Christy I couldn’t make it down to the marquees in Glastonbury or over to the marquee on the banks of the Lee this weekend. However I was still INTENT on having a good weekend so last night headed up to a marquee in Queens Park, Glasgow to catch The Saw Doctors, The Hothouse Flowers & Sharon Shannon. Whether it’s under the stars, under the canvas or simply under ‘the influence’ I hope all 4711ers enjoy their weekend musical fix. P.S. all the best for tonight 2DC John
I have been listening to your music for around 40 years. I have seen you live in my younger days. You are a brilliant singer/storyteller. So many of your songs have taught me things I had no idea about. One of my favourites is Beeswing. However Sunflowers actually brought me tears. I have shared it with so many people. My brother actually went back to Northampton and bought the CD after hearing it. I will continue to try and get a ticket for when you come up here. Keep singing. You are a legend.
Hello Christy,
Oh its brilliant that the whole world sounds to be descending on the marquee tonight. I don’t like to take anything for granted until it’s actually happening, but I think we’re going to be there too!!! All is ready, uber booked for 7pm, I bashed my ankle and knee yesterday after the excitement of Crowley’s, so a lift tonight is best. I played lots of acoustics in Crowleys and found a lovely old Daion there. Did some research. It’s Japanese built in 1980, which sounds like 20 years ago but it’s actually 45 years old. It has an oval soundhole, one or two dings and a lovely lively rounded sound to it. Anyway, long story short.. they’re setting it up for me and I’m hoping it will arrive on the doorstep in about an hour. Crowley’s is a lovely shop. Full of treasure, guitars and musicians. They also have lots of acoustics tuned to Dadgad after my visit….
Time to do a bit of practice. Hope we’ll be there in a couple of hours. Smiling at you from the front row, on your left I think.

10 minutes to go…
I always loved visiting Crowley’s…..bought a Gibson there in 1974 and a Yamaha FG180 in 1986….the late Mick Crowley was a pure gent and always willing to help musicians..I’ve not visited for many years but I hear that Sheena carries on the Crowley tradition….
Hey Christy – we’re driving down from Derry to see you tonight in The Marquis, Cork.
This year we’re celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and tonight seeing you is one of our 25 things to do. It would be so special if you could sing The Voyage ( this was our first dance wedding song).
Thanks for all you do
Tommy & Julie
Hi Christy came over from Cornwall to see you tonight with my sister and partners.
My mom Bridie was from Gurrenebraher and came over on the boat with your old pal Mick Hipkiss to Birmingham.
Anyhoo our daughter Maria is getting married today to a wonderful Indian guy called Dilip in a registry office in London today.
We decided to still come and see you!
They have their big celebration next week so we are not that bad.
Can u give a shout out to Maria and Dilip please.
My mother Bridie of course Loved Banks of my own Lovely Lee but I know you will play that.
Thanks Christy
Hi christy,
Wishing the road led to the banks today but hey there’s always another year.
Been up to bring in and treat the wife’s treasure, Joxer the horse got retired due to injury and is now her pet. Like all thoroughbreds he picks up any knock going so he is high on bute just now.
Anyway i decided to put your Joxer on repeat, what a joy, the spine tingles everytime that ray houghton gets the ball and turns into a huge smile when the ball hits the net….over and over again.
Hit the back of the net tonight !
