Hi Christy, it has been a long time speaking or writing english, so this could look a little bit clumsy…
10 years ago I married the most stunning girl in the world. In our wedding ceremonie we choose to play the most beautiful lovesong in the world, the voyage. Now, 10 years after “signing up”, we gathered a crew of 3 amazing kids. Time to celebrate! Experiencing a gig of you, once again, seemed me perfect. But lately you haven’t had one in Belgium, so we decided to visit Ireland. Definitely a winner! So, Folkfest Killarney, here we come. We are really looking forward. Hope you can play “the voyage”, for us it would be the nicest wedding present ever.
Thanks en see you the 9th of july.
Lots of greets, marten

see you at KILLARNEY FOLK FESTIVAL…I’m looking forward to hearing Colm Mac an Iomaire and all the great music heading for The Kingdom
Christy, enjoyed yer mail out, went through yer list with enthusiasm too. Lynched made the perfect vid for their original tune. Was disappointed to hear of the RTE edits, this is what I was getting at when I ‘jokingly’ said I wish I had the pride to say no to their short doc on me. Peter Gabriel was a curve ball, but sure, that’s you, always outside of the box holding all the boxes. A vid surfaced from 2014. I’m doing Raggle Taggle Gypsy from your album Prosperous, we’re only feeling it out after the night before. Was looking it up on yer site. Have to say John Reilly is a standout for me. Goes live in the morn. Hope ye make it Stateside sometime, but sure, why would ye… safe travels https://youtu.be/twfxcHvNgtY

I so hope I’m wrong!!! Christy, you are an absolute legend and my father loves you!! To cut a long story short,my father who’s name is Alan Clayton is 70 in October this year. My father and mother (Lizzie) who sadly died in 2011 shared their love for you music, especially “ride on” in my mums later years of life, so last year for Father’s Day I bought my dad tickets to see you at the anvil Basingstoke, wow!!! He was overwhelmed, I think because it bought back so many memories of my mum. I sometimes sing ride on acapella because he loves it do much (you sing it so much better!!?)
Anyway now I gave waffled on for so long you may not even be reading this ( I so hope to god you are)
I’m asking a lot I know and this will probably never happen and be a distant memory but still I will ask, and hope!!!
It’s my fathers 70th birthday this October and we are Trying to organise the best birthday bash for him ever! He deserves the best, and in mine and his eyes, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!? I wish and hope and dream that some way some how you could be there at my dads 70th, I’m dreaming because this would be untrue but maybe, hopefully you could make this happen. My father also lost his son in 1980, not that that has anything to do with this but maybe it might help u understand why I feel the need as his daughter to give him
Complete enjoyment, happiness and satisfaction, I want to see my dad smile, really smile and I know Christy Moore that if you can do this ridiculous thing in asking (at some kind of cost I know) you will do just that, and some! I guess I will have to wait and see if this dream, request will be just a dream or a reality! I wait in anticipation!!

Hi Christy
Looking forward to seeing you at Birmingham Symphony Hall in October with my wife, it’s long been an ambition to catch you live but we’ve always missed your visit’s.

Hello Christy,
Just a message to let you know that baby Fionn was born on the 27th of last month. I had your CD on in the car bringing him home. Lol he didn’t cry so I guess he is also a massive fan too.
Please keep touring for many years to come Christy so I can introduce him to Ireland’s greatest son.
Again, thank you ever so much for taking the time to say hello to me in Guildford. You have no idea what that meant to me to meet you.
Anyway I hope all is well with you and I hope to see you soon at another concert, God bless my friend.

Hey Fionn…welcome to this world..you have gained a beautiful name…I wish you a long, happy and fruitful life….”Let The Music keep Your Spirits High”
Dear Christy I have been twice to Milton Keynes. The stadium is pleasant but half empty. I think I would only go again if you were playing in the local hostelry. I found this piece from your own Anne Enright, the fantastic writer from Bray, regarding Brexit.
‘They like trees, by the way. Also, and in this order: curry, cousins, Yorkshire Pudding “in the way that everything is better for pecuniary interest”, BBC, Bristol, sarcasm, pub, AFC Wimbledon, Edgar Wright, Topshop and “how politicians seem very polite but are really furious.” Now you know.
Of course, the Irish too may be pleasantly offensive and say that I am really sorry that Britain lost all the money and power of the kingdom along with it, I know it must be hard for you all. But, as you would say any of the grand old lady, her wounded pride and nostalgia, “Do not isolate yourself.”
Come on the Dons. Xx

Hi Christy,
Sad to report the passing of Dave Swarbrick.Trail blazing fiddler with Martin Carthy and pioneering folk rocker with Fairport Convention. He’d battled lung disease for years but continued playing as much as possible.I saw a brilliant solo gig in 2014.
Ironically,I’d seen Martin Carthy play this week and been reminded of Swarb’s style as Eliza Carthy (Martin’s daughter) swooped fiddle melodies around her dad’s guitar lines.
Another great one gone…but a great legacy left with us.
Dave
